Some homework questions live in a PDF, learning portal, image, graph, or interface that makes copying difficult. After you enable Snap Solver, press its shortcut and drag around only the question and the answer choices. SolveX analyzes that selected region and shows a response in the page overlay.
A tight, readable capture matters. Include the complete prompt, all answer options, labels, units, and any figure the question refers to. Leave out unrelated navigation or surrounding questions whenever possible.
Snap returns AI-generated help rather than a guaranteed answer key. Blurry images, cropped labels, dense tables, handwriting, and questions that rely on unseen course context can reduce accuracy. Review the result before using it.

What makes a good Snap capture
Snap can interpret many common homework layouts, but the quality and completeness of the selected region have a direct effect on the response.
Multiple choice (Strong fit) — Capture the full prompt and every answer choice in one region.
Short answer or fill in (Supported) — Include units, rounding instructions, and any surrounding sentence that defines the blank.
Graph or diagram (Supported with review) — Keep axes, legends, labels, and referenced callouts readable.
Dense table or long passage (May need a larger capture) — Include the row headers and context needed to interpret the values.
Blurry, cropped, or hidden context (Low confidence) — Retake the capture with complete, readable information or solve manually.
How to get started
Create a SolveX account — The free trial includes Snap Solver, 60 minutes, and 100 solves with no card required.
Install the extension and enable Snap — Open Settings & Plan in the extension and turn Snap Solver on. It remains off until you choose to enable it.
Press Ctrl or Command + Shift + S — Drag a box around one complete question and all information needed to answer it.
Review the response — Check the overlay against the prompt. If context is missing, dismiss it and take a clearer or more complete capture.
What to know before you start
Snap can only reason from the pixels and context inside the selected region.
Blurry text, handwriting, crowded tables, and cropped diagrams may produce a weak or wrong answer.
It does not automatically enter answers into unrelated sites; it returns help in an overlay.
Do not use Snap during proctored, locked, or supervised assessments.
