From the Chrome extension to your first supported activity. Here’s what to connect, what to check, and where you stay in control.

SolveX Agent is a separate Chrome extension from McGraw Hill Helper. Both use your SolveX account, but installing one does not install or activate the other.
To run Agent, you need an active Agent allowance. Check your Agent account for current Day Pass, Weekly Pass and welcome trial availability. An eligible account with current paid Helper access can claim the welcome trial once; a free Helper trial or complimentary access does not qualify. Installing the extension does not start a trial or buy a pass.
Use the Chrome Web Store link below. Open the installed extension’s panel and choose Connect account. Use the same Chrome profile where you keep the activity open.
Use the same SolveX account to choose an available pass or activate an eligible welcome trial. Check its remaining allowance and expiry in your Agent account. Passes have no automatic renewal.
Return to the Agent panel and wait for its connected confirmation. A signed-in website tab alone does not confirm that the extension has connected. Connecting your account does not start an activity.
Keep its instructions and relevant content available on the page. Review first is the default: Agent prepares supported work and stops for your review. Check the result before handing anything in.
For a written response, keep the instructions, linked readings and available video transcript or summary accessible. Agent can turn available source material into notes and use that context in a draft. If captions or source material are missing, it should flag the gap; an optional audio excerpt can provide material for transcription.
Read the proposed response against the actual instructions and sources. An entered answer or a saved draft is different from a confirmed submission. Full access can follow submission steps for the selected activity, while Review first leaves that final decision with you. File generation and uploads are not included in this beta.
Use Stop to cancel the pending request and queued actions. A bounded checkpoint can retain recent actions, source notes and a recovery draft for the same open activity and attempt, eligible for recovery for 24 hours.
Keep that activity tab open if you plan to resume. Closing the tab or restarting Chrome can prevent recovery. Agent does not keep a permanent course profile, and visible image questions may need the activity tab in view.
Start with the account and activity rather than repeatedly running the same action. Check these details in order:
