Online proctoring tools like Proctorio, Respondus LockDown Browser, and HonorLock are used during graded exams to monitor for cheating. Depending on the setup, they can lock your browser, record your screen and webcam, track tab switches, and flag unusual behavior for your instructor to review.
The assignment's settings determine which proctoring controls are active. Instructors can enable Proctorio for individual Connect assignments, and Connect can report attempts, scores and submission times even without proctoring. Do not assume that an activity is unmonitored or permits an extension just because it is called homework.
